Under Cabinet Lighting Selection - Wright-Patt Realty

Lighting is one of the most important aspects of any kitchen design, which is why our REALTORS® are always quick to recommend good under cabinet lighting. Installing under cabinet lighting fixtures are a great way to add a touch of elegance to your kitchen. Not only does it make for a great decorative element, but it also helps to make food prep safer and more efficient. Best of all, it's affordable and easy to install.

Different types of lighting provide various degrees of aesthetics and energy efficiency, so it's important to learn about the different varieties available on the market before choosing the option best for your home. These are the four most popular types of under cabinet lighting:

  • LED Lighting
LED lighting is the most popular form of under cabinet lighting, but it's also the most expensive. On the plus side, it's also the most energy-efficient, produces less heat, and lasts two to three times longer than other lighting options. LED bulbs produce millions of colors, which creates a pleasing ambiance. They also have dimming capabilities that provide homeowners control over the appropriate level of brightness. We love how some of these Beavercreek homes for sale have incorporated dimmable LED lighting underneath the kitchen cabinets.

Wright-Patt AFB History - Wright-Patt Realty

Happy birthday, US Air Force! The Air Force was officially born on September 18, 1947, when President Harry S. Truman signed the National Security Act, which restructured some parts of the military and officially established the US Air Force as a separate branch of the military. Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, which is such an important part of our community, was also officially established in 1947, although as you'll soon see, the aeronautical pursuits here began much earlier. Our REALTORS® have the details, in our history of Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.

  • Where the Wright Brothers Once Again Took Flight
The history of Wright-Patterson Air Force Base begins long before the base was officially established, when Orville and Wilbur Wright returned to Ohio following their work at Kittyhawk. The Wright brothers continued their aeronautical work at Huffman Prairie Flying Field, which is now part of Wright Patterson Air Force Base, from 1904 to 1905. They used the field to perfect their Wright Flyer, before turning their attention to training pilots at Huffman Prairie Flying Field from 1910 through 1916. Today, you can still find a marker at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base on the spot where the Wright Brothers' hangar was located.
