Just because it's hot out doesn't mean you need to suffer! These Beavercreek ice cream stores have you covered.

New to the neighborhood? As you're settling into the dream home you chose from Beavercreek homes for sale or Xenia homes for sale, you're likely exploring the local businesses. What's more important in the summertime than cooling off with ice cream? Once you've got things put away, we've got some recommendations for your first family outing to the local ice cream store.

  1. Jubie's Creamery, 471 W. Dayton Yellow Springs Road, Fairborn, OH 45324
You might want to study the Jubie's Creamery menu before you go. It's pretty extensive, and we guarantee you'll have a tough time deciding which sweet treat to choose. Someone's bound to want a cone: how about cotton candy or red velvet? Jubie's has some premier sundaes, or you can customize your own,  mixing and matching ingredients that range from Butterfingers to Gummy Worms to yummy marshmallow sauce. Or, on the lighter side, try a soft custard parfait, flavor burst style, with a swirl of Blue Goo or Banana Ripple. And all this isn't even the half of it.

  2. Jet Freeze, 4014 E Patterson Rd., Beavercreek, OH 45430
Why not take a break from unpacking and jet on over to nearby Dayton for a tasty frozen treat from Jet Freeze? Try an ice cream cone in any of all the usual flavors, or if you're feeling adventurous, try a malt, sundae, slush, shake, float (there's a Diet Coke float for the calorie-conscious), or flurry (Reese cup, cookie dough, Oreo, M&M, Butterfinger, Heath, Nestle's Crunch). Hungry? Have a hot dog, barbecue beef or chicken salad sandwich, a soft pretzel, or some nachos.

  3. The Sweet Retreat. 2613 S. Smithville, Dayton, OH 45420
Ever heard of an ice cream nacho? The Sweet Retreat is the place to try one out with family and friends. Small size feeds one or two; large size is designed for two-three. The shop employees have come up with some novel flavors (Peanut Butter Heart Attack for starters?), so be sure to try them out. But that's not all; they've also got 34 flavors of soft-serve ice cream, sundaes, milkshakes, slushies, Cyclones (Reese's Pieces, Heath Bar, Oreo, Kit Kat and Reese's); plus an Arctic Blast for those in dire need of cooling off.

  4. The Dairy Station, 704 N. Detroit St, Xenia, OH 45385
Don't you just love those ice cream stores that are on top of the latest holiday or seasonal flavor? Right now, your family can enjoy citrusy summer flavors by Dole that really hit the spot during the summertime heat. Try the Lime Dole, Slushy Float, or Dole Swirl, or the pineapple with Sierra Mist Shake. It's really true what the Dairy Station claims: zillions of flavor combinations. For those who prefer non-dairy or gluten-free, The Dairy Station can fulfill. New item alert: Hershey's OatMazing Chocolate Chunk Ice Cream. It's dairy-free and vegan.

Whether you're just moving in or packing up to go, why not take a break and enjoy some of our local ice cream offerings? Our REALTORS® have great advice about other local businesses, so contact us today and let us know what's on your mind.
