Winter Weather Hiking - Beavercreek, OH | Wright-Patt Realty

Oh, the weather outside isn't too frightful. In fact, our REALTORS ® love the winter season around Beavercreek. The white snow peacefully blankets our favorite green spaces, inviting us to see a new side to our most traveled trails. Are you looking to get a breath of fresh air in this winter wonderland? Then lace up your boots and enjoy the winter weather on a hike at one of these trails around Beavercreek.

  1. Creekside Reserve — 761 Factory Rd., Beavercreek, OH 45434
If you've toured any of our Beavercreek homes for sale, then you've probably seen the Little Beaver Creek and Beaver Creek waters flowing downstream. They converge right outside of the aptly named Creekside Reserve. This is known as one of the most beautiful outdoor areas, not only in Beavercreek, but in all of Ohio. The hiking trails will take you through meadows and forests, placing you right alongside the serene Little Beaver Creek.

  2. Sugarcreek MetroPark — 4178 Conference Rd., Bellbrook, OH 45305
Have you ever seen an oak tree that's over 500 years old? You can at Sugarcreek MetroPark in Bellbrook. All 618-acres are yours to explore and spot diverse wildlife darting across the hiking trails. Most visitors love running these trails for exercise or relaxing with a nice picnic after a leisurely stroll. Do keep in mind that we have plenty of great Bellbrook homes for sale surrounding the Sugarcreek MetroPark if you're looking to step from your front door right into nature.

  3. Sara Lee Arnovitz Nature Preserve — 350 Kinsey Rd., Xenia, OH 45385
Not far from our Xenia homes for sale is Sara Lee Arnovitz Nature Preserve. This family-friendly area is like a field trip in your own backyard. Perfect for hiking, bird watching, and nature photography, Arnovitz Preserve offers you and your children the opportunity to explore the outdoors without venturing too far from home or walking long trails that easily tire out the little ones.

  4. Adirondack Trail — Paw Paw Pavilion, 100 Deep Hollow Rd., Kettering, OH 45419
Did you know that some of our Kettering homes for sale are near Frankenstein's Castle? Okay, maybe it's not the real Frankenstein's Castle, but you should keep this area in mind as it's also a trailhead location for the Adirondack Trail. Hills & Dales MetroPark is an ideal place to park so you can explore the Adirondack Trail with your four-legged friend in tow.

  5. Carriage Hill MetroPark — 7800 Shull Rd., Huber Heights, OH 45424
You'll love the coziness of our Huber Heights homes for sale and the quiet charm of the trails at Carriage Hill MetroPark. This area used to house farmland but is now preserved for locals and visitors to enjoy the great outdoors. There are four trails to explore on foot, ranging from 0.7-miles (The Red Trail) to 3.4-miles (The Orange Trail). Should you want to explore on horseback, the Red, Yellow, Green, and Blue Trails are perfect for relaxing rides through the wilderness.

  6. Oakes Quarry Park — 1267 E. Xenia Dr., Fairborn, OH 45324
Though the Fairborn homes for sale are relatively new, the trails at Oakes Quarry Park will take you back in time nearly 400 million years ago. This 190-acre area was once a coral reef but now is a wonderful place for hiking. Keep an eye out for a variety of animals like coyote, red-tailed hawk, and white-tailed deer as you explore the area and spot Silurian Age crinoid fossils.

You don't need to hike for miles to find the best homes around the Beavercreek area. Contact Wright-Patt Realty today to schedule convenient tours of our Washington Township homes for sale, as well as our other great properties throughout the greater Beavercreek area.
