'Tis the season for celebration! From festive tree lightings to holiday parades, Greene County really comes alive this time of year. There's something for everyone—kids, teens, and even kids-at-heart! If you're in the mood for some holiday magic, our real estate agents suggest attending one of these exciting events.
Here comes Santa Claus, right down Santa Claus Lane and into Beavercreek! The Tree Lighting & Santa Arrival Parade is an annual tradition and is scheduled to take place at The Greene Town Center on November 21, 2025. Live music begins at 5 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Santa will parade through town before joining the Tree Lighting Ceremony.
This event is great for families. There will be live reindeer to pet, a 50-foot tree to admire, and photo opportunities with Santa himself. Plus, there are plenty of lovely Beavercreek homes for sale in the area.
Glistening holiday lights can put you in such a jovial mood, and there's no better place to see them than at ParkLights at Caesar Ford Park. During this event, the whole park is filled with dazzling light displays, along with other holiday-themed activities like a North Pole Car Show and a Winter Farm. Fill your car with your favorite people, and drive through the display. There's no admission charge; the event is entirely free.
ParkLights at Caesar Ford Park is scheduled for December 1-31 this year. It will be open daily from 6-9 p.m. Donations are welcome and help fund the event in future years. Don't forget to look at some nearby Xenia homes for sale.
Whether you're shopping for holiday gifts or home decor, the Holiday Bazaar at Mills Park Hotel is a must-visit this time of year. More than 50 craft vendors are expected to attend, selling items such as:
There will also be food trucks on-site, along with live music and visits from the Cincinnati Reds Mascots. This year's bazaar is scheduled for November 28th and 29th, giving you two opportunities to stop by and shop.
Are you looking for motivation to stay in shape as the holidays approach? Sign up for the Holiday 5K, 10K, or Half-Marathon at E.J. Nutter Park. The races are held on December 27th, beginning at 8 a.m. All races follow an out-and-back course, and the half-marathon has a 3-hour, 30-minute time limit.
If you'd like to run, sign up online before the race. There will be no race-day registration this year.
Woodland Lights is another stunning outdoor light display. Visitors can walk along the half-mile paved path, enjoying displays featuring classic holiday characters and items. There's also a train that seats up to 16 people and drives past a different set of light displays.
Santa will be attending Woodland Lights, of course. The event takes place from 6-9 p.m. from November 21-December 30. What a great way to spend the evening after looking at Washington Township homes for sale.
