Beavercreek is beautiful in spring, with lots of local activities to keep you and your family busy. Here's what you should experience.

Thinking about moving to Beavercreek, or did you recently buy a house from Beavercreek homes for sale? Whichever it is, you're about to be part of a vital community with lots of fun things to do. And what better time to get about than spring, with its blue skies, warmer weather, and green landscape? Let's take a look at some of the great things you can do in Beavercreek, as suggested by our REALTORS®.

  1. The Greene. The Greene Town Center, 4452 Buckeye Lane, Beavercreek
One of the first places you'll want to get to know is The Greene. It's a meeting place for friends, but also a place where you can wander on your own. Do your spring shopping at fine stores, such as Lane Bryant or J. Crew Factory, Kay Jewelers or Eddie Bauer, Old Navy, or Francesca's Collection. Hungry after all that shopping? Take your pick of restaurants, such as Brio Italian Grille, Condado Tacos and Margaritas, the Cheesecake Factory, and The Pub. Looking for entertainment? Try the Funny Bone Comedy Club (and restaurant!) or the Rave Movie Theater. You'll also find a children's park, a fitness center, a community room for meetings, hair and nail salons, and events held in the Town Square.

  2. National Museum of the United States Air Force. 1100 Spaatz St., Dayton
The National Museum of the United States Air Force is a perfect place to take your out-of-town guests, or to take the kids for an educational outing. The museum has on view more than 350 aerospace vehicles and missiles, with other historical items and sensory exhibits. Various galleries depict the history of American aviation, from the early years, through the American wars, and into space exploration. Get to the museum before March is out and partake of Women's History Month, wherein you can learn about Women in the Air Force. The museum is a short drive (less than 15 minutes) from Beavercreek.

  3. Wartinger Park. 3080 Kemp Rd., Beavercreek
Beavercreek has a number of parks, be it fot exploration, hiking, sports, or picnicking. One that you and the family are certain to enjoy is Wartinger Park. The 4.3-acre park is the meeting place of the Beavercreek Historical Society and the Flower Trail Garden Club. Four small log houses were moved to the park from other Beavercreek locations. You'll enjoy a quiet visit to the herb garden or the Marie Wartinger Memorial Garden.

  4. Round 1 Bowling and Arcade. 2727 Fairfield Blvd., Beavercreek
Have tons of fun under one roof at the Round 1 Bowling and Arcade. Bowl to your heart's content, then participate in arcade games, billiards, karaoke, ping pong, darts, and for the kids, a play zone. Enjoy some terrific food and snacks, such as pizza, burgers, wings, and even Japanese favorites, such as the Bento Combo, Teriyaki Bowl, Fried Pork Gyoza, Chicken Karaage, and Takoyaki.
  5. Creekside Reserve. 761 Factory Rd, Beavercreek
As we mentioned, Beavercreek offers many park opportunities. One of the best is Creekside Reserve, known for its quiet, peaceful hiking trails and views of Little Beaver Creek. It's a floodplain and meadows that afford visitors a glimpse of one of the top nature habitats in the region. Bring the dog for a bracing hike, or take a partner and kayak or canoe the creek; you can also go it alone on your bike down the bike trail that parallels the creek. Whatever you choose to do, you'll be grateful you live so close to this treasure.
