Shrug off the cold weather with these Beavercreek restaurants serving delicious soup and more.

Now that it's getting chillier in our area, your lunch and dinner menus may be including soup. And why not? It warms us from the inside, so we can face winter's chill better. What's more, soup is filling and can be a good way to keep our food consumption down if we're hoping to lose weight.

What's more, soups are much more exciting than they used to be. A few decades ago, most of us couldn't think of soup beyond the canned stuff we bought in the supermarket. Nowadays, though, restaurants abound in delicious, hearty, and filling soups. So where do you go when you want a bowl of delicious soup while house hunting among Beavercreek homes for sale?

We've got a shortlist compiled by our REALTORS® of some of the best soup venues in Beavercreek. Let's go and have a taste.

  1. Cherry House Cafe. 1241 Meadow Bridge Drive, Beavercreek
The Cherry House Cafe features an extensive menu with delicious home cooking in a comfortable setting. With scrumptious specials that include an Onion Burger, Grilled Beef and Gouda Sandwich, Sloppy Joes, and more, the Cherry House appeals to appetites light and heartier. Now, if you're in the mood for soup, either as an accompaniment to your sandwich or as your main course, the Cherry House can accommodate. Try Chicken Pot Pie, Chili, or Creamy Tomato.

  2. Wat da Pho. 3464 Pentagon Blvd. D, Beavercreek
Of course, you can imagine that any restaurant that serves the popular Vietnamese dish Pho knows a thing or two about soup. Pho consists of bone broth, rice noodles, and thinly sliced meat (usually beef). It is often served with bean sprouts, herbs, limes, chiles, and other garnishes. At Wat da Pho, you can choose Just Pho with steak or meatballs; Pholicious with sliced steak or beef brisket; Pho Up with sliced steaks and meatballs; Chicken Pho with chicken broth and chicken; Shrimp Pho, with shrimp in beef broth; and Wat da Pho with sliced steaks, meatballs, beef tendon, beef brisket, and beef tripe.

  3. King Garden, 2495 Commons Blvd. C1, Beavercreek
Chinese restaurants like King Garden are notable for several kinds of soup, including Wonton, Egg Drop, Chicken Noodle or Rice Soup, Hot and Sour, Bean Curd with Vegetables, Seafood Soup and a House Special Seafood Soup for two.

  4. House of Thai. 3230 Seajay Dr, Beavercreek
Anyone who loves Thai food knows about fabulous Thai soups. At House of Thai, renowned Chef Mam goes beyond the typical Thai soup menu and presents her own superb inventions. You'll fall in love with Tom Kha Gai (Chicken Coconut Milk Soup), Tofu Coconut Milk Soup, Chinese Hot and Sour Soup, Rice Soup, Vegetable Soup, Wonton Soup, Tom Yum Gai (Hot and Sour Soup with Chicken), and Tom Yum Goong (Hot and Sour Soup with Shrimp). Whether you enjoy the soup as your meal or as a first course, you will enjoy getting to know Thai soup.

  5. Maharaja of Dayton. 3464 Pentagon Blvd., Dayton
Indian food lovers enjoy a wide range of dishes, but soup may not be as well-known as other dishes. At Maharaja of Dayton you can get to know Indian soups such as Lentil, Coconut (slightly warm soup made with coconut milk and topped with pistachios), Tomato Soup, and Chicken Soup. Indian soups tend to be on the light side, so plan to eat them before you enjoy the rest of your meal.
