No place is perfect, but some places come closer than others. Like Beavercreek. Word is getting out about the many pluses of living in the Beavercreek community and, of course, the great choice of houses from Beavercreek homes for sale. It's a growing community, for sure, for myriad reasons — and we'd suggest that this is a fantastic time to move here. But let's take a closer look at these reasons compiled by our REALTORS® on why Beavercreek is the right place for you.
- Great schools
Beavercreek has six elementary schools, two middle schools, a grade nine campus, and a high school located in Dayton that serves the Beavercreek school district. Student to teacher ratio is very high, and the schools are among the best-rated in Ohio.
- Abundant local parks
Beavercreek is blessed with 23 beautiful parks. The parks are of different types — with playgrounds, fitness courses, picnic shelters, tennis courts, skate park, fishing, shelters, basketball, baseball, cycling trails, and more. There are also many programs and cultural events to participate in. Some of the best parks: Spicer Heights, 3704 Edge Park Drive; Dominick Lofino Park, 640 Grange Hall Road; and Shoup Park, 1341 Meadowbridge Drive.
- Historical resources
Founded as a result of a mill on a creek that ground corn for settlers, Beavercreek was early on noted for its beauty, its fertility, and its fine timber and farmland. Its early beginnings included a courthouse, mill, and two block houses built for defense from indigenous tribes who might become troublesome. During the 20th century, farms were transformed into residential areas. There's a lot to learn about Beavercreek and one of the best ways is through the Beavercreek Historical Society (they're always looking for volunteers!). The society can advise new residents on sites of interest.
- Plentiful real estate opportunities
The Beavercreek neighborhood is within easy access to many local communities, including Dayton and Springfield, and to US-35 and Wright State University. People desiring to move to this region for work or to further their education find the real estate to be affordable, of good quality, and situated in attractive neighborhoods.
- Great shopping
Is shopping your idea of a day well spent? You can shop to your heart's content in Beavercreek. Some of the best venues: The Mall at 2727 Fairfield Commons; Beavercreek Shopping Center at 2650 N. Fairfield Road; and The Greene Town Center at 4452 Buckeye Lane.
- Good Food
For most of us, part of "community" is enjoying good food with family and friends in delightful settings. Beavercreek offers some delicious fare. Get a jump on dining in Beavercreek by starting out with these restaurants: Jaqua's at the Greene, an American bistro, at 81 Magnolia Lane; or Black Rock Bar and Grill, an award-winning steakhouse, at 2745 Fairfield Commons.
- Take a walk on the wild side
Do you get restless with city or suburban life? You've got the antidote, with Creekside Reserve at 761 Factory Road; Beavercreek Wetlands Reserve (Freedom Pointe); or the Narrows Reserve Nature Center at 2575 Indian Ripple Road, Xenia.
- Relax in a sports bar.
There are plenty of places to watch the game while having a beer and a burger, but two of the best: King's Table Bar and Grill, at 2348 Grange Hall Road; or Wings Sports Bar and Grille, 3347 Seajay Dr. Both are in Beavercreek.
