The spookiest holiday is almost here! Stop by these local events that are fun for the whole family.

Whether you're looking at Beavercreek homes for sale or you already live close by, we just want you to know how much fun Halloween can be in the neighborhood. You don't have to drive very far to discover tons of spooky fun for all ages on our local Fright Night -- and because Halloween falls on a Monday this year, some events are taking place the weekend prior. Whether you opt for full regalia with a scary, heroic, or whimsical costume or just wear a mask and street clothes, you're guaranteed to enjoy our local frightful Halloween season.

So let's get started by having a look at what our REALTORS® are suggesting for your Halloween fun.

  1. Halloween Party and Dance presented by the American Czechoslovakian Club. 922 Valley Street, Dayton
Dayton isn't far from Beavercreek, so plan to hop in the car with the family and celebrate Halloween Czechoslovakian style on Friday, Oct. 28, starting at 6 p.m. with a Halloween Party and Dance by the American Czechoslovakian Club. The Halloween party wraps up at 7 p.m., then it's Ed Klimszak presenting ballroom music for dancing. Admission is $8 for members and $9 for non-members. Admission covers drinks (wine, beer, soft drinks, and soda). Bring a dish to share. Dancing wraps up at 10 p.m. Contact Mary Chidester for reservations@accdayton.com, www.accdayton.com.

  2. La Crique Boutique Annual Trunk or Treat. 3880 Dayton Xenia Road, Dayton
Join La Crique Boutique for their Annual Trunk or Treat on Tuesday, Oct. 25, from 6 to 9 p.m.  Kids can don their costumes, and you can too if you feel like it. Bring along friends and other family members, young and old. Enjoy an evening of shopping with local vendors, trick or treating, enjoying some special "goings on" at the boutique, and some scrumptious food from Momma's Boyz.

  3. Wag-o-Ween. Kettering Recreation Complex. 2900 Glengarry Dr, Kettering
Bring your pup for the Wag-o-Ween on Saturday, Oct. 29, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Kettering Recreation Complex (Adventure Reef Entrance), just a 10-minute drive from Beavercreek. There will be trick-or-treating for doggies on the Walk and Wag course, photo booth ops, adoptable pet introductions, and a pet costume contest. If inclement weather occurs, the event will move indoors. No registration is needed for activities, but to participate in the costume contest, please pre-register by Wednesday, Oct. 26.
  4. Hallo-FUN-Aweenie. Be Hope Church. 1850 N. Fairfield Rd., Beavercreek
Bring the kids to a fun, safe environment to celebrate Halloween. Kids are invited to wear costumes, jump around in bounce houses, grab lots of candy, snap some memorable pictures, and have an all-around blast at Hallo-Fun-Aweenie. The event is set for Sunday, Oct. 30, from 4 to 6 p.m. It's free and open to all.

  5. Troops and Treats. National Museum of the Air Force. 1100 Spaatz St., Wright-Patterson AFB
Just 15 minutes or so from Beavercreek, the National Museum of the Air Force is a cool venue for its Halloween event, Troops and Treats, on Saturday, Oct. 29, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. It's a real Trunk or Treat event with candy, costumes, and spooky activities for kids. Candy stations are open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Enjoy games, music, scavenger hunts, and more from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
