Looking for holiday fun for you and your family? Try out these Beavercreek local events.

Winter can be fun for the family or your Yuletide visitors, if you're willing to get out and about and make the most of holiday entertainment, workshops, and just cool things to do close to Beavercreek homes for sale. So have a look at this list put together by our REALTORS®. We're betting there's more than one venue you'll enjoy.

  1. Winter Walks at Wartinger Park. Wartinger Park, 3080 Kemp Road, Beavercreek.
    Through Jan. 2. 5 a.m. — 8 p.m.
    This 4.3-acre park is headquarters for the Flower Trail Garden Club and the Beavercreek Historical Society, and includes the Marie Wartinger Memorial Garden and a large herb garden. Four small log cabins have been moved to Wartinger Park from other Beavercreek locations and will be decorated by organizations or businesses for the holidays. The public will vote for their favorites using QR codes on their phones. Take a walk just about anytime during the holidays, with family, your holiday guests, friends, or on your own. Enjoy lights and holiday decorations.

  2. Old School Sequin Ornament workshop. Lockwood Creation Studio, 1682 N. Central Drive, Beavercreek.
    Monday, Dec 13.
    Create one-of-a-kind memories you can display with pride year after year at the Old School Sequin Ornament Workshop. Learn how to make gorgeous ornaments for your holiday tree. For adults, 16 and up. Other cool workshops from Lockwood Studio you or your family might enjoy:
    Saturday, Dec. 11, 10 a.m., Tiny gift workshop ages 3-5. Drop off your tiny tot for this elf magic workshop. Kids will create two toys, which will be wrapped before participants leave. (Gifts for everyone, regardless of what holiday is celebrated.) Snacks will be on hand.
    Tuesday, Dec. 14, 7 p.m., Gnome Adult Workshop. Create a Gnome couple as you're led step by step. Participants choose the type of hair and color to paint Gnome.
    Sunday, Dec. 19, 5 p.m., Elementary /Middle School Gift Giving Workshop. Participants will create three gifts for family and friends. The race will be on to finish and wrap up creations to take home that night. Doesn't matter what holiday you celebrate: there are gift ideas for everyone. Enjoy snacks and laughter as you work.

  3. Give a Gift to a Child Hospitalized Over the Holidays. Mall at Fairfield Commons. 2727 Fairfield Commons, Beavercreek.
    Monday, Dec. 20, between 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 23, between 8-11 a.m.
    Bears4Children brings people together to donate Build-A-Bear stuffed animals to patients at Dayton Children's Hospital. Purchase and stuff one or more bears at the Mall at Fairfield Commons. Or join the fundraiser virtually at www.buildabear.com.

  4. Knitting: Just in Thyme. Once Upon a Thyme Cookbook Store, 1275 N. Fairfield Rd., Beavercreek.
    Saturday, Dec. 25, 10 a.m.
    Bring your projects to the Knitting: Just in Thyme knitting circle. Meet other knitters and make friends as you improve your skills or just enjoy the company while you complete your holiday projects.

  5. Photos With Santa. The Greene, 4452 Buckeye Lane, Beavercreek.
    Through Dec. 24.
