Fall Apples - Wright-Patt Realty

Feel that crispness in the autumn air? That's a sign that apples, everyone's favorite fall treat, are at their peak. Our REALTORS® find the best Honeycrisp, Granny Smith, and other delicious apple varieties to purchase at these delightful orchards around Beavercreek homes for sale

  1. Peifer Orchards - 450 US 68 N., Yellow Springs, OH 45387
Family-owned Peifer Orchards started in 1994 with 200 apple trees kept as a hobby. Flash-forward to 2020, where the now-3,000-tree orchard supplies a full-service farm market just minutes from Yellow Springs homes for sale. Along with apples, peaches, berries, and other fresh produce, Peifer Orchards offers fresh-pressed apple cider, jams and preserves, local honey, and Ohio maple syrup. Have fun picking your own apples each weekend through the end of October. Visit the website for the current crop report. Peifer Orchards is open daily from June through December.

  2. Apple Country Farm Market - 2323 US Route 42, Spring Valley, OH 45370
Do the kids get antsy when you're shopping? Apple Country Farm Market, not far from Spring Valley homes for sale, is a true family experience, with something to entertain everyone. You'll love the pumpkins and gourds, honey, squash, 30 varieties of apples, and specialty food items along with homemade crafts and gifts. In the meantime, kids will have a blast trying to solve the puzzle of the eight-acre corn maze, which features two interactive games. ACFM is open until 4 p.m. every day but Wednesday and Sunday. Admission to the corn maze is $9 for ages 13 and up and $7 for ages 4-12.

  3. Monnin's Fruit Farm - 8201 Frederick Pike, Dayton, OH 45414
Since its opening in 1961, Monnin's Fruit Farm has been run by owners Phyllis and Roger Monnin with their children and grandchildren. Fittingly, generations of families around Dayton homes for sale have made regular outings to the farm for fresh-picked vegetables, apples, peaches, and berries. The charming onsite market is also known for a mouthwatering assortment of breads, cookies, pies, and other Amish baked goods. Monnin's is open seven days a week. Follow them on Facebook for up-to-date info on the availability of fresh apple cider and other products.

  4. Tüken's Orchard & Farm Market - 15725 Eaton Pike, West Alexandria, OH 45381
Fruit doesn't get any fresher than when you pick it yourself. Honeycrisp, McIntosh, and Jonathan are just a few of the apple varieties available for u-pick at Tüken's Orchard & Fruit Market. Kids won't want to leave Critter Corral, the petting zoo that includes six precious newborn ducklings. The whole family will love browsing the old-fashioned candy counter or choosing a scoop of homemade fruit-flavored ice cream at the nostalgic country store. Tüken's is open seven days a week and u-pick is offered during regular hours, so why not combine a visit with an afternoon of viewing West Alexandria homes for sale

  5. Irons Fruit Farm - 1640 Stubbs Mill Rd., Lebanon, OH 45306
Irons Fruit Farm may feature corn, pumpkins, peaches, and other great produce, but there's no question that apples are the main event. Seven types of apples are grown in the orchard, located near Lebanon homes for sale. In addition, the Irons Market & Bakery, housed in a horse barn built in 1912, sells apple cider, apple butter, apple jams and jellies, apple fritters, and even honey made from apple blossom nectar. Irons Fruit Farm is open until 6 p.m. daily.
