Since so many Beavercreek homes have beautiful backyards, a few simple updates can make your outdoor space feel like a relaxing getaway. Need some inspiration? Take a look at these tips! 

• Light it Up
  The right illumination can make a huge difference. You'll immediately elevate your backyard space by hanging string lights, adding solar lanterns, or installing landscape lighting. Give the area extra ambiance by adding a fire pit or placing some candles around your seating area.
  
  
• Create a Backyard Camping Trip
  If you have kids, consider pitching a tent and taking the whole family on a backyard camping trip. You can make it extra comfortable by putting an air mattress, your favorite pillows, and some cozy blankets inside your tent.

  Did you know that you can buy a kit to turn your back yard into a miniature golf course? They're super easy to install! If you're a DIY fan, you can also have some fun building your own obstacles. 
  
  Other options include lawn scrabble, a giant chess or checkerboard, lawn bowling, or oversized Connect 4 game. Use your imagination and the possibilities are endless.
  
  
• Set Up an Outdoor Theater
  The only thing more fun than family movie night is having it in the backyard. You can find a projector and a giant screen online and they're less expensive than you might think. Depending on the layout of your yard, you might even be able to skip the screen and project the movie onto your garage door or the side of your house. Or, you can make your own screen with some PVC pipe and a sheet. 
  
  Movie night is even more fun if you really embrace the theme. Make a few different kinds of popcorn and other movie-themed snacks. Make sure everybody is comfortable by putting blankets, pillows, and cushions on the lawn or setting up some outdoor chairs. You can even play some games, like movie trivia, before the show begins.
  
  
• Bring the Beach to Your Backyard
  Many Beavercreek homes for sale have backyard pools. However, if yours doesn't, you can still create a beachy vibe! If you have younger children, consider installing a sandbox and buying a selection of sand toys. You can have a sandcastle contest with fun prizes.
  
  Feeling ambitious? Up your game, truck in a lot of sand, and build your own beach volleyball course! You can also bring in a splash pool and add some beach chairs, an umbrella, and fun, summer-themed decor. Then, pour yourself a cool drink, kick back, and relax.
