The family team behind Katie's Pumpkin Barn started out 22 years ago selling pumpkins from their driveway not far from Xenia homes for sale. Today mom Laurie works the field while daughter Katie handles the barn. Try your hand solving the puzzle of the all-ages corn maze added this year. Did you know that pumpkins are actually berries? So it's only appropriate that Berryhill Farm offers pumpkins along with luscious strawberries, raspberries, blueberries and blackberries. Other products include gourds and winter squash, honey, jam and fresh-cut flowers. Hours vary, so check their Facebook page or call ahead. - Windmill Farm Market - 1454 E. State Route 73, Springboro, OH 45066 Pumpkin Land can be found just minutes from Springboro homes for sale when Windmill Farm Market holds their annual SPOOKTACULAR celebration. The highlight of the festival is the 30-minute hayride traveling over more than 25 acres. Along the way, you'll get views of farm animals along with fascinating information about how pumpkins grow. Enjoy fresh cider, hot cocoa, kettlecorn, caramel apples, and other popular fall treats. Windmill is open 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. daily during SPOOKTACULAR, which runs through Sunday, October 27. Hayrides run on weekends from 11 a,m, - 5 p.m. Tickets are $12.95 including a pumpkin, $9.95 without.

For the last 44 years, the Kleather family still hand-plants each seed producing the bountiful harvest at Kleather's Pumpkin Patch. In fact, you're likely to meet Joe, his wife Marsha, or one of the kids at the barn during your visit. Grab a shiny red wagon and head out to the fields in search of just the right pumpkin. Plentiful photo opportunities include a life-size pumpkin carriage, Wizard of Oz characters, and a measuring stick to track your kids' growth from year to year. Don't leave without picking up one of Kleather's signature apple cider slushies. Hours are 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. daily through Thursday, October 31.
