Fishing Areas Around Beavercreek - Wright-Patt Realty

National Go Fishing Day is coming up on June 18th, and if you ever needed an extra excuse to cast a line in the Beavercreek area, this is it! You'll find some truly extraordinary fishing opportunities nearby, and our REALTORS® have a few ideas if you're looking for a place to do some fishing near Beavercreek, Ohio this summer.

  1. Dominick Lofino Park - 640 Grange Hall Road, Beavercreek, OH
Just a short drive from numerous Beavercreek homes for sale, this quiet park is a perfect place for a family fishing trip. The seven-acre lake at Dominick Lofino Park offers an abundance of bass and panfish, with ample access including a fishing platform and a trail along the shore. The park also offers a playground and picnic area and hosts an annual kids' fishing derby every spring, which is free to enter and offers a great opportunity to introduce the next generation to the sport of fishing.

  2. Delco Park - 1700 Iron Horse Trail, Kettering, OH
The lake at Delco Park has been a real hot spot for anglers in the know for years and continues to be one of the best places to fish near these Kettering homes for sale. The park includes a fishing pier, which is a great place to take kids on their first fishing trip. Catches of bluegill and sunfish are common from the pier, and the lake also offers excellent bass fishing, as well as some giant channel catfish. Many anglers are drawn by the lakes oversized carp as well. Delco Park is a great place to bring a canoe or kayak, and also offers playgrounds, ball fields, picnic areas, walking trails, and a seasonal concession stand.

  3. The Narrows Reserve - 2575 Indian Ripple Road, Beavercreek, OH
Meandering along the banks of the Little Miami River, The Narrows Reserve is an incredible resource for fishing, as well as hiking, nature study, and photography. The Narrows Reserve spans more than 160 acres and includes ample access to the river, making it a haven for anglers. The Little Miami River is a registered National Wild and Scenic River—it's one of the last remaining free-flowing rivers in the state—and offers an abundance of fish, including walleye, sauger, smallmouth bass, crappie, channel catfish, and striped bass.

  4. Spring Lakes Park - 2191 Ferry Road, Bellbrook
Spring Lakes Park is a fisherman's paradise, and if you're in the area looking at Bellbrook homes for sale, you definitely don't want to miss out on this gem. Spanning 23 acres that include two connected fishing lakes, the park is designed with fishermen in mind, with a fishing pier, lakeside trails, and a bait shop where you can pick up fishing supplies and snacks. The lakes are kept well-stocked with catfish and trout, along with bass, crappie, and panfish that provide a wide range of fishing opportunities. Unlike most fishing spots in the state, you don't need an Ohio fishing license to fish at Spring Lakes Park—just get a fishing permit from the park attendant when you arrive.
