Beavercreek Ohio Apple Picking
Of all the things our REALTORS® love about fall in Ohio, apple picking has to be pretty close to the top of the list. Thankfully, apple season has arrived, so whether you're looking for a jug of fresh, local cider or are ready to hit the orchard and pick a bushel of apples right off the tree, be sure to head straight for one of these top apple picking spots near Beavercreek!

  1. Peifer Orchards - 4590 Us Route 68 N, Yellow Springs, OH 45387
Located just outside the cozy college town of Yellow Springs, Peifer Orchards has been family owned and operated since 1994. Peifer Orchards offers 25 varieties of apples, along with fresh pressed cider, local honey, Ohio maple syrup, baked goods and a wide range of locally grown produce. See the weekly crop report on their website to see which varieties of apples are currently available for picking, and be sure to check out these Yellow Springs homes for sale in the area.

  2. Monnin's Fruit Farm - 8201 Frederick Pike, Dayton, OH 45414
Monnin's Fruit Farm is one of the best places in the region to find an incredible range of produce. Availability changes with the seasons, but you-pick apples are typically available from July through November. You can also pick grapes starting in mid-September, and choose among a range of Amish baked goods, jams and preserves. Monnin's Fruit Farm is a short drive from all of these Dayton homes for sale.

  3. McBreezy Acres Fruit Farm - 3470 Waynesville Jamestown Rd., Xenia, OH 45385
McBreezy Acres Fruit Farm switched over to organic pesticide-free apples in 2017 and offered 20+ varieties. Call ahead to find out about their current picking schedule, which may change due to weather, and to inquire about local honey and free-range eggs. We also offer several Xenia homes for sale near this farm, in the rolling countryside just outside the city of Xenia.

  4. Hidden Valley Orchards - 5474 N. State Route 48, Lebanon, Ohio
Under new management as of 2018, Hidden Valley Orchards – formerly Hidden Valley Fruit Farm – remains one of the best apple picking locations for folks with homes in Lebanon. You-pick apples are available throughout the fall, and the orchard also offers a wide range of weekly and special holiday events featuring hay rides, craft vendors, a pumpkin patch and many other attractions. Plus, the on-site cafe serves coffee, cider, and lunch daily, along with a full bakery.

  5. Apple Country Farm Market, Ltd. - 2323 US-42, Spring Valley, OH 45370
From home-grown fruits and vegetables to pumpkins, gourds and (of course) apples, Apple Country Farm Market has it all. Apples are in season throughout September and October, and you can also take home a gallon or two of the best fresh-pressed cider around. Plus, with a corn maze, pumpkin painting, campfires, barnyard animals, duck races and many other activities, you'll find plenty of ways to keep the whole family busy this fall.
