Annual Sugar Maple Festival - April 27 - 29, 2018

Sugar Maple Festival fun takes place at venues throughout Downtown Bellbrook. You can take a free shuttle to and from the events. As in year's past, the city will host three days of special events, including a Citizen of the Year Award, 5K Run, Bellbrook Garden Club booth, Dog Show, Workout Demonstration, and Recycled Sculpture Contest. The festival website lists a full festival schedule but here are some of the highlights:

Adults can get an early start on the festivities. The Beer Garden and food vendors open at 5 pm on Friday with live band performances at 6 pm.

• Festival Parades
  The opening parade begins Saturday at 10:30 AM on West Franklin Street. The High School Marching Band, community groups, the Sugar Maple Sweetheart, Jr. Sweetheart, and other participants will join in.
  
  The Mini Sweetheart Parade for children ages 3 to 7 begins at the Bellbrook Park gazebo at 12:30 PM on Sunday, April 29.
  
  
• 40th Anniversary Exhibit - 6 Franklin Street
  News articles, photos, and souvenirs submitted by past attendees allow you to experience 40 years of festival traditions and memories. You'll get a look at past Sugar Maple Sweethearts, Citizens of the Year, and four decades of festival personalities.
  
  
• Food & Beverages
  Festival Food on Main Street - Vendors will serve tasty, savory, and sweet treats from pork tenderloin sandwiches (a festival favorite) to waffle and ice cream sandwiches.
  
  
• Pancake Breakfast
  Bellbrook United Methodist Church, 47 E. Franklin Street, will host the all-you-can-event on Saturday, April, 28th, 8 to 10:30 AM. Price: Family, $20, Adults $8, Children ages 2 to 6, $4, Children under 2 eat free.
  
  
• Festival Entertainment
  Bellbrook Park is the festival's live entertainment venue. You'll see local acts, the Bellbrook Dance Academy, live music, the Sugarcreek Township Fire Department in action, and other exciting entertainment.
  
  
• Children's Event
  Children can enjoy games, face tattoos, contests, hair painting, and other fun activities from 11 AM to 4 PM on Saturday, April 28 and Noon to 4 PM on Sunday, April 29.
  
  Art Celebration K-12 at the Bellbrook City Building will feature works by local students on Saturday and Sunday from 1 to 4:00 PM.
  
  
• Artists, Crafters, and Vendors
  At the Vendor's market on Franklin Street and the City Parking Lot, you can buy original paintings, handcrafted items, and "Real Housewives of Bellbrook" cups.
  
  You can purchase a 40th Anniversary festival stein in the Beer Garden and an anniversary tee at the information booth. Dill Family maple syrup producers will sell genuine maple syrup at the Old Sugar House in Bellbrook Park.
