This year marks the fifteenth anniversary of Centerville's Hometown Holiday Walk and is scheduled to take place Sunday, November 19 from 1:00 to 5:00 PM. Each year the Merchant's Association brings this exciting event to Downtown Centerville. It's a leisurely daylong adventure filled with joyful family fun. You can eat, view a live Nativity scene, visit merchants for special sales, and more.
Begin your adventure at Town Hall Theatre on Main Street. There you can claim your free "Hometown Holiday Walk" tote-bag filled with discount coupons from local merchants and a schedule of the day's activities. You can also buy a raffle ticket. From the theatre, you can stroll leisurely through town or take a free carriage ride. The event offers something for every member of your family.
Your family will enjoy a day filled with activities, songs, and holiday cheer.
Tin Roof Mobile Food, The Vistro, Shantz Express, and Chicago Gyro and dogs will sell food specialties from food trucks parked at Main and Franklin Streets.
Centerville and Washington Township merchants donated over $1,000 in merchandise for this year's gift basket raffle. Money from ticket sales will benefit Centerville nonprofit, Hannah's Treasure Chest. Hannah's delivers care packages with clothing, toys, safety equipment, and other necessities to needy families throughout the region.
You can end your day with music, dance, and song at the 25th Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony at Benham's Grove. Centerville Community Band will perform. Cline Elementary Cougar Chorus will sing. Miami Valley Dance Company will perform dances from "Nutcracker." After Santa makes a final appearance, Mayor Brooks Compton will signal an official start to the holiday season by lighting the community tree.
